Leadership is a key element to any successful lean transformation. We work with leaders in multiple ways to support their growth and effectiveness.
Over the years, LeanProject has developed several approaches to supporting leaders on their individual lean journeys.
We offer one-on-one coaching as part of many lean engagements with project owners, designers, and contractors. In this way, we support leaders in their new roles and help them become comfortable and effective as lean leaders. We also often work with the leadership team as part of an Lean Integrated Project Delivery (LIPD). In both cases, the coaching focuses on the specific task at hand while growing personal leadership effectiveness.
We also conduct lean leadership coaching and training as part of a cohort group. In this case, we combine individuals with similar interests (and no conflicts), into a group that meets on a regular basis. The training consists of simulations and lessons on lean fundamentals, change management, and effective leadership. We typically conduct sessions at members office location or another convenient meeting place. The sessions can also be designed to include tours of project sites or lean manufacturing operations.
Working individually or as part of a group, it is important for leaders to continually work on improving their own skill and capabilities.
